Tips for your rummage sale
1. Get an appropriate amount of cash and change ahead of your sale.
2. If you have multiple participants make sure their items are clearly identified. Colored sticker "dots" are available at most places carrying paper and office supplies, some come with prices on them. Add initials to them to identify the item's owner.
3. Try to provide adequate parking space for customers if possible, especially if you have large items that may require a truck to carry them away. Park your own vehicles away from the sale area. (We sometimes park ours in the Multi-District parking lot during the sale)
4. An empty refrigerator box makes an effective changing room for people to use when trying on clothes.
5. Consider mowing your lawn ahead of the sale, but try for 2-3 days ahead so the clippings have time to settle and avoid being tracked into houses, etc.
